As you plan your getaway to the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada and Island Cottage here is some important information that will help make your trip more enjoyable.

The Ferries leave for the Sunshine Coast from the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. As you approach the ferry terminal enter lanes marked for " Langdale".

At certain times the ferries can be busy, so allow yourself some extra time.

From Langdale Ferry Terminal to Island Cottage:

After docking, it is a twenty-six kilometre drive on Highway 101 to the town of Sechelt. Along the way you pass Gibsons Landing, Roberts Creek, Wilson Creek, Davis Bay and then Sechelt.

From Sechelt it's a short drive to Tuwanek and Island Cottage.

Once in Sechelt proceed to the third set of lights, turn right onto Wharf Street, continue along Wharf Street and turn right onto Porpoise Bay Road. This road travels north for 9 kilometres past Porpoise Bay Provincial Park and the community of Sandy Hook. You are traveling north and northwest along the Sechelt Inlet to Tuwanek. Just continue along until you come to the end of the road and we will be there to greet you.
